Refund policy
Items bought in store:
We strongly recommend viewing in person or at least requesting a condition report before purchase.
All reclaimed items are sold as seen and sales of reclaimed items are final with no returns/refunds (please see below for items bought remotely)
In some cases Tobys may offer to buy back a reclaimed item at a reduced rate - this is at our discretion and on a case by case basis.
Where there is a fault with your purchase (in the case of reclaimed items, a fault beyond that expected of the condition of the item at the point of purchase), you can return the product and get a full refund or exchange the product for another one if available.
If an item is new then standard statutory purchasing and return rules apply:
-You can return a product for up to 30 days from the date of purchase.
-Any product you return must be in the same condition you received it and in the original packaging. Please keep the receipt.
-Any cost of returning an item is paid by the customer.

Remote Purchasing/ Distance buying:
When an item is bought remotely whether online, by email or over the phone (i.e not in branch/ in person) then distance selling rules do apply:
-Items must be paid in full at point of order and before dispatch.
-Payment can be made via debit/ credit card or bank transfer - our bank details are available upon request.
-Please see our delivery information for details on deliveries/ collections.
-You have the right to cancel the order within 14 days of delivery.
-Items must then be returned within 14 days in their original condition and packaging if packaging was supplied.
-We cannot accept returns outside of these time frames.
-Any cost of return is to be paid by the customer. We do not cover the costs of returns.
-We do not offer free collections so any return must be organised by the customer and done within the above time frame.
-If we are able to offer collection on an item that is being returned the charge for collection may be higher than the cost of the initial delivery due to our collection charge being calculated at a higher rate than our delivery charge due to it no longer being subsidised by the initial purchase.
-We will then issue a refund within 14 days of receiving the item/s back.
-Distance selling rules do not apply to purchases under £42
-Items must be returned by the person who bought the item.
Collections:
Items bought for collection do not include delivery in the list price.
Items need to be collected within 1 month of purchase.
Collections need to be done during shop hours and arranged in advance - please see the opening times page.
Unless arranged at the time of purchase, any items not collected from us within 1 month of the date of purchase will be subject to a storage charge of £5 a week payable on collection.
Any items not collected from us within 3 months of the date of purchase will be classed as abandoned and eligible for resale.
VAT:
Not all items on this site include reclaimable VAT as some are being sold under our margin scheme.
If you require a VAT invoice or want info on which items do have reclaimable VAT included in the price and which items do not then please get in touch before purchasing an item for clarification.
When included the VAT rate is 20% as standard.
