We are very happy to welcome Strange Folk Coffee & Records to Tobys Yard!
We have wanted to open a cafe here for many years but being such a small team with so many other projects going on it has always felt like something to do 'another year'.
So it was great when Dan & Suze approached us wanting to open a Cafe and record shop combined....this seemed very inkeeping with the vibe at Tobys and having someone else running it who had tonnes of experience in running such ventures meant that they would do it much better than we ever could too!
After a month of emptying, cleaning, and restorating two of our smaller shops they were ready to move in and quickly made the place look great.
They opened on the 28th June and are now there 6 days a week (Tuesday to Sunday) from 10am to 4pm serving up great coffee, tea, cold drinks, smoothies, cakes, pastries and grilled sandwiches too!
They even stock non-alcholic beer - I think I will definitely be spending a few afternoons sipping a cold beer whilst I 'work'!
Do come down and have a coffee and watch the world going by outside - it's in the perfect positon to watch us unloading new stock too so great for catching new gems before they even make it to the showroom/ online.
